It's a strange world out there in the classic realm: the weird and wonderful, together with a whole array of things that seemed like a good idea at the time, with a liberal sprinkling of historical milestones in the evolution of a legend or two.

You don't necessarily need to be a rivet-counter to enjoy getting inspiration or a chuckle out of the stuff that only breaks cover in the company of other examples of the great and the not-so-good, and we realistically haven't got a prayer in getting full roadtests on all of this stuff – we're on the wrong side of the Atlantic for that – so we offer you this all-too-brief insight into another world.
