John Davey is an outspoken former official Harley-Davidson dealer from West Yorkshire, and as such has a unique insight into Harley-Davidsons in the UK. Since Eddy Wrights in Leeds have become the official agents, he's had to change the name of his old business, now owned by Heide, from "The Harley Shop" to THS as Harley's business managers reign in any external use of their tradename.

Seen here with former "Harley Shop Road Crew", John Staker (left) and Willie G (centre) John Davey (right) has been involved with Harley-Davidson since 1965, which gives him expertise way beyond the recent Evo and current TwinCam 88 motors, and he expresses great affection for the older models, and is keen to prevent them from going into early retirement though sensible modification and maintenance.

John is an accredited source in official Motor Company books and is a mine of information on the history of the marque that he loves, as well as an advocate of releasing the available power within the motors that he knows so well. He is also known for his technical features for Heavy Duty and SuperTwins, and will be putting a few spanners in the works here too.

John still retains contact with the business he built and loves through maintenance of their web site, which you can find on www.oldtykes.co.uk/ths.htm
